DSP Newsletter, April '18

April has been full of changes for us. In the aim of promoting our safety and security, we ended our relationship with Facebook. Instead of engaging with us online, we strongly encourage you to interact with other community members in person. We believe that coming together in real life rather than on social media will only serve to strengthen our community. Consistently showing up is the only option for those who are serious about creating change, so we hope that you’ll commit to attending at least one event per month. Regular opportunities to engage with us in person include: Social Justice Saturday, Community Service and Feed-In, Children’s Art & Social Justice Council, Communities of Color Unite, and Soul Food Sunday. In addition to our reoccurring monthly events we will be highlighting upcoming events in this monthly newsletter and the "Events" page of our website.

Since our departure from Facebook our team has been working diligently to update the website and give it a fresh look.  We are excited to share with you these changes and invite you to check it out.  Don't forget to bookmark Don't Shoot PDX so you can check back regularly and get the latest updates.
