Were you protesting for Black Lives in Portland during 2020 and 2021?

A week ago today we commemorated the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We appreciate every single one of you who volunteered your time, donated items for our unhoused communities and supported our mission by showing up in solidarity for human rights and dignity.

At this years’ March, we unveiled our Albina Arts Center posters to the public. We appreciate everyone who has reached out to write letters, make statements and continue to promote our petition. This is also a great time to thank all of those who are picking up posters, which are still available for pick up in two sizes through this link.

If you’ve seen the news this past week, you know that the Portland Police Bureau is at it again with unsettling training materials recently uncovered due to our ongoing lawsuit. To help remedy this proof of violence, we want to hear more from you all. Please fill out our survey if you were protesting in 2020 or 2021 and experienced police brutality while showing up for Black Lives.

This information will be shared with Albies & Stark, Oregon Justice Resource Center, Jesse Merrithew and other attorneys working on our case. Thank you all for continuing to engage and show up throughout this process.

Our Spring programming is coming up - if you’d like to volunteer or be a part of these events, please sign up for our newsletter to stay informed!
