Thank you to the Peace Keepers Society and their Yakama team for coming down in order to host this distribution! We are so grateful to PKS for coming together with our dedicated volunteers to make this all happen smoothly. We are also appreciative of NAYA PDX for allowing the use of their space in order to get these essential resources and items to those in need.

Next Wednesday Don’t Shoot Portlands’ board president, Tai Carpenter, will be speaking on the 'Art in Public' panel presented by Portland Art Museum and the Contemporary Art Council. This will be an engaging and informative discussion - please register to join us on Wednesday, September 29

Today marks 11 years since the death of Andre Dupree Payton in downtown Portland. The reason we established Don’t Shoot Portland was to advocate for loved ones lost to gun violence. After witnessing first hand the lack of investigative process when it came to Black victims of gun violence, Teressa Raiford began organizing to demand accountability from the city of Portland and law enforcement in Andre’s death, ultimately leading to the founding of DSP. We continue to honor Andre and so many others whose lives were cut short through our community action plan and legal advocacy. Do not hesitate to reach out to our organization if you are in need of support or resources.

Please continue to support our work as you’re able - we wouldn’t be able to advocate for community without our donors and volunteers!
