All Things Being Equal: Print-Making Event, Kee's Loaded, FatherFannie and More
Maria Garcia’s Dia De Los Muertos celebration at the Portland Art Museum was tremendous - seeing this past year of hard work come to fruition was a beautiful victory to us all.
Next Friday we will be joining the Presence Collective as they host a weekend with Rev. Angel Kyodo Williams focusing on race and liberation. These talks will be held at Vancouver Avenue First Baptist Church (Friday 11/15) and the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (Saturday and Sunday 11/16 - 17). We will be tabling this event as well. Tickets can be purchased here. The workshops and meditation events curated by Presence Collective are accessible to all; we urge you to utilize this organization’s resources, including their Radical Dharma Scholarship program.
We are less than two weeks away from the Don’t Shoot Portland X All Things Being Equal print-making art event on November 22nd, 2019. Remember, it’s free entry for a day of art, music and food so please come down with your friends and family for a great cause!
DJ FatherFannie will be providing an eclectic mix for us to create to from 5pm-8pm. As for catering, we of course had to bring in Portland’s best food truck, Kee’s Loaded, so we are looking forward to that as well. For those wanting to create art for our upcoming MLK March, we will have multiple on-site art stations.
We will also be collecting non-perishables during this time in honor of Clara Peoples, founder of the Oregon Food Bank. Following the event we will be dropping these goods off to OFB!
